always prioritizing the originality of each
program and the specific requirements of each

Our special courses are designed to promote the
economic sustainability of the indigenous
communities and local craftsmen with whom Centro
Tinku has established a durable relationship, while
at the same time offering unique experiences and the
opportunity to develop new and rare skills in
conjunction with language learning.
ETHNOHISTORY, ANDEAN ANTHROPOLOGY,
ARCHEOLOGY COURSE
These courses are specifically designed for students
who wish to learn the Spanish language in an
interdisciplinary manner in relation to history,
anthropology, Andean literature
always with an
emphasis on grammar and vocabulary. This method is
also known as CLIL (Content and Language
Integrated Learning). It is a very flexible course
that adapts to the themes and specific interests of
the student.

Language and traditional crafts of the Andes
Learn the ancient techniques of the Incas, which
have been transmitted from generations since
pre-colonial times.
Language and Weaving course
After a period of intensive language in our Center,
you will have the opportunity to learn the art of
Andean weaving (using ancient andean techniques)
taught by women weavers in small weaving communities
of the Andes.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The
course is composed of three weeks of Spanish classes
+ Homestay (Room and Board, meals, 7 days/week)

First week, 20 hours of standard Spanish (in Cusco),
Second Week,10 hours of standard Spanish/ technique special focus on weaving related vocabulary + fieldtrip to the museum CTTC of
weavings(in Cusco),
The third week (or the number of weeks you have
chosen to stay) in Chinchero: 20 hours of
practice classes on the elaboration of textiles
(spinning, dyeing, weaving, etc.) in the
house of a weaver, member of the womens weavers
Association Loraypo in
Chinchero, a historic Inca village situated thirty
minutes from Cusco by car.
It is
expected that at the end of the course, the student
will be able to complete a
small piece of
weaving

Language and Pottery Course
A fantastic academic and cultural experience that
allows the student to learn the Spanish and/or the
Quechua language in classes at our centre. Then,
you will have the opportunity to learn the art of
Andean pottery taught by local experts.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Weeks one and two: 30 hours intensive Spanish or
Quechua in Cusco.
Accommodation in homestay, hotel or apartment.
Week three: 20 hours of pottery in the workshop of a
renown Cusquenian potter.
Accommodation in homestay, hotel or apartment.
Week four
(or the number of weeks you have chosen to stay):
Trip to a famous
potter community. Homestay in an indigenous family.
Daily pottery classes: 20 hours total
of pottery instruction by local experts.
It is expected that at the end of the course, the
student will be able to complete a
small piece of art.
The costs of the materials are included in the
