LIMA, AN EXCITING CITY

DAY 1: “WELCOME TO PERU: LIMA VISIT ITS ANCIENT AND MODERN SIDES”

Welcome to Peru “Country of the Inca”, our group will pick you up in the airport Jorge Chavez de Lima and transfer to your hotel.

 In the afternoon, you will tour the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Government Palace, the Catacombs of San Francisco, in old Lima, and the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores to admire the magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. Situated in the middle of the modern district of Miraflores, the archaeological complex of Huaca Pucllana was one of the ceremonial and administrative centers of the Lima culture, which flourished between 200 and 700 AD. By night, we will enjoy the “Parque de la Reserva”, a magical Water Circuit park where the water fountains can run out of the ground and make amazing shapes, illuminated by beautiful lights and accompanied by classical music.

OPTIONAL DAY 2: “THE RUINS OF PACHACAMAC”

In the morning, we will visit the Museum of Anthropology, Archeology and History in Pueblo Libre, located in a colonial structure, and with a wonderful collection of Peruvian artifacts (textiles, ceramics, gold, silver and copper) from Chavín, Paracas, Sicán, Mochica, Nazca, Chimú and Inca culture, until republican period. P.M. Guided visit to the Inca site of Pachacamac outside of Lima. It is a huge site entirely built of sand bricks, which housed one of the most important gods of the Incas at the time of the Spanish conquest.
